Spiral welded steel pipe is produced by processing hot rolled steel coils. Steel coil bands are formed into pipes by cold forming method, and they are joined internally and externally by automatic submerged arc welding (S.A.W). The production line consists of important processes such as sheet opening, ironing, edge cutting, forming and preparing the band edges for welding.
Longitudinally welded steel pipe is called Longitudinally Welded Steel Pipe in English. These pipes are also called Electric Resistance Welded Steel Pipe.
